Slipknot in Charlotte... TONIGHT!

I'm so excited! I feel like I'm 14 instead of 40. We're going to be going to Charlotte tonight to see Slipknot!!!

Yeah, we saw them in August at Mayhem Fest in Virginia Beach and the show was great!

Tonight, they have 2 opening bands (Coheed and Cambria ... and Trivium). I don't care much for C&C but I love Trivium (Matt Healy is a "pretty young thang"), so no complaints! :)

But, the MOST exciting part about tonight? Keith & I both won Meet & Greets with Slipknot! I've heard that only Corey, Chris, and Clown attend these (but sometimes, a 4th member shows up). I've met 2 of the 9 (Jim and Sid). If the 3 mentioned are there, I'll have met 5 of the 9, leaving only Mick, Paul, Joey, and Craig.

At Mayhem fest, while meeting Sid, I saw Corey, Clown, and Mick from a distance. They had just arrived via golf cart to the Metal Mulisha bus (where Keith & I, along with a few others had just been invited to come aboard for a Jager shot, just minutes before). Oh well... missed meeting them by "that much" ;) I'm not "rabid" enough to go chasing after them. I have a little bit of sense in my head. haha!

Well, I haven't been to bed yet. (I woke up yesterday afternoon at 5pm and haven't been to bed since. I'm sure I'll sleep on the way to Charlotte (It's a 2.5 hour drive). Keith is only working 1/2 day today. I've printed our tickets, directions, and the emails regarding our M&G info.

I have been trying to decide whether or not to take a nap now, but since Keith should be home soon, I should probably stay awake.

Unfortunately, I'll only be able to 1/2 see the show. (I've only been wearing 1 contact lens for about 2 weeks. My right eye is not cooperating. (I think I've either got a scratch or some kind of infection under my eyelid.... and I CAN'T find my glasses. Argh!)

So, the guys are going to think I'm a fat, cross-eyed blonde chick who likes snakes. (Yeah, I plan on wearing one of my snake shirts... after all, I am known as "the snakelady." :) I don't mind the nickname... it fits me well!!!)

OK, I'll post this now. I'll post pictures when I can... and let you all know how the show was. (I KNOW it's gonna be killer!!!!)
